The National Tongan American Society is saddened to learn that we have lost a dear colleague, Margarita Satini, who transitioned from this life this morning. Margarita was known for her fierce activism, advocacy and love for her community, and mentoring future young leaders. In her formative years as a community organizer, we were blessed to have her as a fellow colleague here at the NTAS where she truly embodied our mission and vision. She continued to be a valuable partner in community organizing, specifically in our common efforts to promote the 2020 census, voter registration and COVID-19 awareness.
We wish to express our deepest love and condolences to Margarita's family and loved ones, and thank you Margarita for your love, friendship, love of community and people.
