Election Cycle Dates to Remember

It's Election Year! Mark your calendars so you don't miss out on these important dates.

June 11: In-person early voting period begins. The early voting period can begin 14 days before election day. The early voting period can be a minimum of four days upon the county clerk's decision. Contact your county clerk for specific information. Unaffiliated voters may affiliate at early voting or Election Day polling locations.


June 14: Last day to register to vote for the Regular Primary Election. Same-day voter registration is available on Election Day by visiting a vote center in person. Find more information on vote.utah.gov or contact your county clerk.


June 18: Last day to request a by-mail ballot. (This deadline does not apply to military and overseas voters.)


June 21: In-person early voting period ends


June 24: Ballot postmark deadline


June 25: Regular Primary Election. Unaffiliated voters may affiliate at early voting or Election Day polling locations.


July 23: Voters’ party affiliation status can begin to be updated starting this day


Sept. 20: Ballots sent out to Uniformed and Overseas Citizens


Oct. 15: By-mail ballots mailed to voters for Regular General Election


Oct. 22: In-person early voting begins


Oct. 25: Last day to register to vote for the general election *** by 5:00 p.m. MST *** Same-day voter registration is available on Election Day by visiting a vote center in person. Find more information on vote.utah.gov or contact your county clerk.


Oct. 29: In-person early voting begins at satellite locations


Oct. 29: Last day to request a by-mail ballot


Nov. 1: In-person early voting ends


Nov. 4: Ballot postmark deadline


Nov. 5: General Election
